Aditya Kiran College of Applied Studies is an unaided self financing degree college affiliated to Kannur University and had started functioning in October 2002. The Institute is situated on a lovely hillock surrounded by lush greenery with panoramic view. The calm and serene atmosphere is ideal for intellectual pursuance. The Institute is located 14 km south-east of Payyannur town and 10 km east of Pilathara on the National High way (NH17).

ACKAS is a pioneer institution in Northern Kerala, with English as the medium of instruction. The founding of AKCAS was necessitated by the demand of an educational institution which could restrain the migration of students to other metropolitan cities by offering courses and academic environment of a world order.
